Freshman Program
Applicants to the freshman program are required to submit SAT I results and proof of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL or SAT I- Writing Section) before joining the freshman program. In addition, they are required to submit SAT II results and the official equivalence to the Lebanese High School results before joining the sophomore class.
Sophomore Program
Applicants to HCU sophomore program must pass the following exams:

Applicants should contact the AMIDEAST Office in Beirut (Solidere district, Riad Solh Street, Bazerkan Building – Tel: 01/989901) to register for the TOEFL and/or SAT Exams. When registering for TOEFL, SAT I and SAT II, applicants must specify HCU code 4438 in order for the results to be sent to HCU Admissions Office.
HCU recognizes an Institutional TOEFL score to be valid for one academic year from the date the test was taken. However, an International TOEFL score, IBT score, and SAT I (writing section) score are valid for two academic years.
HCU Entrance Exams for each College Entrance Exam in Mathematics for the College of Business Administration: Applicants to the College of Business Administration must pass HCU Mathematics Test; the test is designed for holders of either:
Lebanese Official High School in General Sciences, Life Sciences, Humanities/Literature or Economics/Sociology Sections or its equivalence.
Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate, Accounting & Computer or Commerce Sections.
Entrance Exam in Mathematics and Physics for the College of Engineering anthe College of Science and Information Systems:
Applicants to the College of Engineering and the College of Science and Information Systems must sit for HCU Mathematics and Physics Tests, which are designed for holders of either:
Lebanese Official High School in General Sciences or Life Sciences or its equivalence.
Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Computer Sections.
Aptitude Exam for Graphic Design Applicants
HCU Entrance Exams take place on HCU campus. Students have to contact the Admissions Office for exam dates.
Transfer Students Transfer students falling under any of the following categories are exempted from HCU Entrance Exams.
Holders of a post-secondary degree (e.g. TS or BS).
Applicants transferring from other recognized universities to HCU.
Transfer applicants must submit official transcripts of grades and the catalogue from the previous university attended along with the application for admission. Evaluation of credits is usually made before the time of registration. The College concerned and the Registrar’s Office determine the acceptability of courses for transfer credits.
P.S. Some transfer applicants might be asked to take HCU Entrance Exam.
Transfer students coming from a recognized institution of higher education, where English is the Language of instruction, may be required to take TOEFL exams.
Transfer students are required to fulfill the Residency Requirements by spending at least three full-load semesters and one COOP session at HCU.
