HCU was founded in 1999 according to presidential decree 1947 dated 21/12/1999.  The University was granted permission to start new colleges, majors and programs by presidential decree number 17192 dated 19/06/2006.

The Hariri Canadian University has, for the current academic year 2008-2009, three Colleges; the College of Business Administration, the College of Engineering, and the College of Science and Information Systems.  All degrees are recognized by the Lebanese Government.

  • College of Engineering

      4. Mechanical Engineering
      5. Mechatronics Engineering
      6. Civil and Environmental Engineering
    • This degree is officially accredited and recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education (accreditation number 61/58/2005).
  • College of Science and Information Systems
    • CSIS grants a BS degree in the following programs:
      1. Computer Science
      2. Computer Graphics Design
      3. Management Information Systems (Planned)
      4. Software Engineering (Planned)
• Graduate Studies
  • College of Engineering
    • The College of Engineering launched its graduate program at the beginning of the academic year 2006-2007.  Graduate students joining the College of Engineering can earn a Masters of Science, MS, degree in the following programs:
