The Hariri Canadian University is now recruiting candidates for the academic year 2009/2010. The College of Science and Information Systems at the Hariri Canadian University is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Mechref Campus.
The applicant should demonstrate expertise in the practice of print/publication design and/or multimedia design. The candidate is expected to have a strong mastery of visual communication and design culture.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidate should be a holder of a Masters degree in Graphic design. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD. Teaching experience is a must.

Languages & Humanities
Majors: English as a second language, Arabic language, Philosophy, Sociology, and History
Education: Master’s degree or PhD
Experience: Appropriate experience in higher-education teaching is required. Successful applicants must demonstrate a record of effective teaching.
The primary assignment will be teaching, but it is also expected that the faculty member will engage in service to the department, college and pursue scholarly activity.
Accounting
A Ph.D. or DBA or near completion with emphasis in accounting is required. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or CIA) is desirable. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly research is required for promotion. Position is available with teaching opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Management
A Ph.D. or DBA or near completion with emphasis in management is required. Successful applicants must demonstrate a record of effective teaching. Although a Ph.D. in business or a related field is preferred, candidates with an MBA and considerable and professional teaching experience will be considered.
Marketing
A Ph.D. or DBA or near completion with emphasis in marketing or a related field is required. The position requires teaching courses including Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, Senior Seminar in Marketing, and Marketing Research depending on the candidate's interests; candidates must be able to teach in other areas. The campus encourages interdisciplinary study and collaboration and close faculty-student relationships.
Computer Science
HCU seeks applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in computer science. The successful candidate will teach courses in the areas of Databases, XML Technology, and Structured Programming Languages, i.e. C, C++, Visual Basic, JAVA, etc., and Web Design. Other responsibilities include: curriculum development, advising and recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students, laboratory development, establish and maintain contacts with business and industry personnel.
The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in scholarly activity, and to serve on department, college, and university committees. Doctorate in Computer Science and higher-education teaching experience are required.
Previous successful university teaching experience is preferred. Scholarly and creative productivity and service commitment expected.
